The truth is, no one is too sure. Some say his origins are in Mississippi, USA, but one thing is certain: his delicious jerk chickens are legendary.

In fact, it is hard to know whether he made his chickens famous or whether they made him famous. Either way, the story goes that it was the spicy jerk seasoning he brought back from Boston Beach, Jamaica, that gave his chickens their unmistakable “come back for more” flavour.

And then there was the music. If it wasn’t the tempting aroma of roasting chicken that greeted you, it was the sound of his banjo. Music was his second love.
